Auto-Accept Calendar Items Rule
If someone sends you an invitation to a meeting (or sends you an appointment), you receive an email in your mailbox alerting you to the invitation and the item appears in your calendar in italics. Once you accept the invitation/appointment, the email is removed from your inbox and the calendar item changes to normal text.
There may be times when you wish to have an auto-accept rule in place so that appointments go into the calendar normally without any need to accept them. For example, when you invite others to a meeting in a room resource and you include the roomin your invitation, you may want the appointment to go into the room resource's calendar normally. Here's how to create the rule:
- From the GroupWise main window, click Tools | Rules.
- In the Rules dialog box, click New…
- Name the Rule something like Auto-Accept Calendar Items.
- Leave the defaults of New Item and Received selected.
- Place a checkmark next to Appointments.
- Select the Add Action button in the Then actions are: area and choose Accept… from the menu.
- Press OK | Save.
