Macintosh Netware Login
Staff on Macintosh computers may login to access shared network storage folders
Macintosh OSX
- If this is your first time connecting a Macintosh to ITS's Netware servers, contact Tech Support to request a network login.
- From the OSX "GO" menu, select "Connect to Server" (Or press
Command-K)
- Type the address of the server you would like to connect to. If
unsure, contact Tech Support for assistance. Common address
include:

- nv-a-fs2.its.maine.edu
- Note: Clicking the "+" sign on the address line will save the
server address for future use.
- Click "Connect"
- Enter your Netware userid and password

- Apped ".staff.de" to your login name, e.g.,
"mylogin.staff.de"
- If your login name has a period in it, you have to use a
forward-slash before the period, e.g.,
"firstname\.lastname.staff.de"
- Apped ".staff.de" to your login name, e.g.,
"mylogin.staff.de"
- Select the "USER" volume from the volume list and click "OK"
- The Server volume will then be displayed. You may drill down to the folder you need to access.
- Tip: Make aliases on your desktop of often-used folders. In
the future, opening the alias will log you into the server.
