Macintosh Slow Network
Macintosh take too long to copy files over the network? Could be a port mismatch.
Does your Macintosh take too long to copy files over the network?
Is it taking longer to copy a large file than it would take to copy it locally?
If so, You might have a network port speed/duplex mismatch. Macintosh computers don't easily allow you to set the network port connection speed and duplex. Our network equipment is designed to automatically configure itself to match your Mac speed and duplex. However, we have found that it doesn't always guess correctly.
If you are experiencing unusually long file copy delays, contact Tech Support and ask for your "switch port to be set to 10/half" You will need to tell Techsupport your name, office location and email address. Network support will contact you after making the change to verify the connection status.
