Dell 1703 Monitor Displays Self Test Pattern
"Dell Self Test Feature Check" test pattern (Red/Green/Blue/White) appears on black background. Can't see normal desktop.
Problem: "Dell Self Test Feature Check" test pattern (Red/Green/Blue/White) appears on black background. Can't see normal desktop.
Solution:
The Dell 1703 monitor has two video connectors, but it can only use
one of them at a time. Sometimes the monitor listens to the wrong
connector. To switch the monitor back to the correct connector
use your finger to press the "connector selector" button at the bottom
right edge of the screen. There are four buttons in this
area. Three little buttons and one larger button. The
"connector selector" button is the middle of the three smaller buttons
and has a minus sign (-) etched on it.
