FTP connection problems

Turn off "passive" mode transfers. Passive mode transfers may not be compatible with ftp/firewall servers.

In Internet Explorer, Tools | Options | Advanced - uncheck "Use Passive mode for FTP transfers"
In Fetch, Preferences | Firewall - uncheck "Use Passive Mode"

Not all FTP servers support "anonymous" connections. If you receive an "access-denied" or similar message, contact the server manager to determine if an account is needed to access the server.
