Install the UMS Certificate Authority as a Trusted Issuer
Follow these instructions to install the "UMS Certificate Authority" certificate which will prevent future security warnings when browsing secure UMS websites.
- First visit the UMS Certificate Authority Install link.
- You should install both the "current" (ca2) and "old" (ca1) certificates. While the "old" certificate server is being retired, many UMS systems still use certificates signed by it.
- For each of the certificates (ca1 & ca2), click the
"Certification Authority Certificate" link and then follow one of the
following set of instructions depending upon the web browser you are
using.

- select "Trust this CA to identify websites"
- Click "OK"
- Internet Explorer 7

- Click "Open"
- Click "Install Certificate"
- Click "Next"
- Select "Place all Certificates in the Following Store"
- Click "Browse"
- Select "Show Physical Stores"
- Expand "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"
- Highlight Local Computer
- Click "OK", Click "Next", Click "Finish"
- Click "OK" when you are notified the import is successful
- Click "OK" to close the certificate box.
- Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
- Click "Open"

- At the "File Download - Security Warning" screen, click "Open"
- At the "Certificate" window, click the "Install Certificate" button
- Click "Next" on the "Certificate Import Wizard"
- Click "Next" on the "Certificate Store"
- Click "Finish"
- Click "Yes" on the "Security Warning"
- You should receive a message saying "The import was successful."
- Click "OK" to close the "Certificate" window.
