University College has identified information needs and created queries that pull data from MaineStreet for analysis. This is a list of the queries and explanations about their purposes. We expect that more queries will be added to the list on an ongoing basis.
UC_CENTER_ENROLLMENTS
- PURPOSE: This query allows center personnel to see a snapshot of current enrollments for their center and sites per semester.
- INFORMATION DERIVED: All sections where there are enrollments for the center and associated sites by semester.
- FIELDS:
- LOCATION (uses ISIS location codes for familiarity)
- COURSE (subject & catalog_nbr)
- COURSE_DESCR
- CLASS NUMBER (old CRN)
- CAMPUS (originating campus)
- FACULTY
- TOTAL_ENROLL
- ENROLL CAPACITY
- CRHR (total credit hours - derived value that represents enrl_tot * units_acad_prog)

- COURSE TYPE (derived from instruction_mode values for individual campuses)

UC_CENTER_VC
- PURPOSE: Center personnel will be able to review videoconference classes that have been scheduled for their location and ensure that information is correct and fits their center's needs.
- INFORMATION DERIVED: All class sections where instruction mode = videoconf for each center.

UC_CLASS_LABELS_CLASSNBR
- PURPOSE: UC personnel will be able to create mailing labels for distance courses that have only one class number (such as non-UM online or center on-site courses that are not cross-referenced with another course name).
- INFORMATION DERIVED: Student name and mailing address per class

- (identical to UC_CLASS_LABELS_CMBNSECTID)
- WHO WILL USE: UC personnel
- PROMPTS: Term, institution, class_nbr
UC_CLASS_LABELS_CMBNSECTID
- PURPOSE: UC personnel will be able to create mailing labels for distance courses with a combined section id.
- INFORMATION DERIVED: Student name and mailing address per class

- FIELDS: (identical to UC_CLASS_ROSTER_ALL)
- WHO WILL USE: UC personnel
- PROMPTS: Semester and center (e.g. 0910 and BATH)
UC_CLASS_SECTIONS_ALL
- PURPOSE: UC personnel will identify coding problems about distance class sections by analyzing class details. Includes all distance-flagged sections.
- INFORMATION DERIVED: Class section details for all sections coded "distance" for all UC locations.
